Here are some basic stain removal tips with items found around the home,

Coffee Stains
Mix one teaspoon of a neutral detergent with a cup of luke-warm water. Blot.
Mix one-third cup of white household vinegar with two-thirds cup of water. Blot.
Sponge with clean water. Blot.

Tea Stains
Mix one teaspoon of a neutral detergent with a cup of luke-warm water. Blot.
Mix one-third cup of white household vinegar with two-thirds cup of water. Blot.
Repeat step one.
Sponge with clean water. Blot.

Blood Stains
(Use cold liquids unless stated otherwise)

Mix one teaspoon of a neutral detergent to a cup of luke-warm water. Blot.
Mix one tablespoon of household ammonia with a half-cup of water. Blot.
Sponge with clean water. Blot.

Ballpoint Ink Marks
Sponge with a small amount of dry-cleaning solvent. Blot.
Mix one teaspoon of a neutral detergent with a cup of luke-warm water. Blot.
Sponge with clean water. Blot.

Soft Drinks Stains
Mix one teaspoon of a neutral detergent with a cup of luke-warm water. Blot.
Mix one-third cup of white household vinegar with two-thirds cup of water. Blot.
Repeat step one.
Sponge with clear water. Blot.
